*** About the Book ***

The main reason for the fact that I am only now at last putting my thoughts at any length on paper is that I simply could not afford the time to sit at my desk when it seemed to me that my higher priority was to answer the calls of people in need or the many requests I received to speak.

Another reason for my procrastination was that knowing very well the meaninglessness and futility of publishing my thesis without first having proof of its validity, I was constantly seeking to test and corroborate it, just as any scientist would formulate an assumption and continue his experiments until he had proof positive of his theory.

Almost three decades now of wide exposure and careful assessment has in this sense been a time of accumulating evidence to substantiate and verify my proposition.

Therefore, I am proud to be able to say now that the Nomura Theory of Lifelong Integrated Education is born out of a confluence of knowledge and action. It has stood up well to close examination and to all its tests during these years in the laboratory of real life.
