1922: Born to a brewer in Shizuoka Prefecture.
1946: Married to Tetsuo NOMURA, an educator.
1962: Started the voluntary activities in education.
1970: Organized the 1st National Conference on Lifelong Integrated Education under the theme "The Earth is One" and in 1998 it marked the 30th one.
1972: Established Lifelong Integrated Education Center.
1974: Participated in the international conference in Belgium.
1977: Organized the 1st International Forum on Lifelong Integrated Education in Tokyo under the theme: As a Global-Minded Person, As a Human Being.
1978: Organized the 2nd International Forum on Lifelong Integrated Education at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The Forum has been held quadrennially since then.
1981: Established Nomura Center for Lifelong Integrated Education. Authorized by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology of Japan.
1985: For her meritorious service in the enhancement of women's position, received the Prime Minister's Award in the final year of the UN Decade for Women.
1990: Appointed as a member of the Board Meeting of the Research Committee on the Sociology of Leisure, International Sociological Association.
1996: Published "Lifelong Integrated Education as a Creator of the Future - The Principles of Nomura Lifelong Integrated Education 1" under the auspices of UNESCO.
1998: Organized International Forum on Lifelong Integrated Education '98, commemorating the 30th anniversary of National Conference and 7th International Forum in Tokyo under the theme: The Earth is One.
Published the English version of "Lifelong Integrated Education as a Creator of the Future - The Principles of Nomura Lifelong Integrated Education 1" under the auspices of UNESCO from Trentham Books (U.K.).
1999: Organized International Youth Forum on Lifelong Integrated Education in Tokyo under the theme: Think Together - The Future for Us, Humanity and the Earth.
2000: Held the 5th Intensive Seminar on Nomura Lifelong Integrated Education in Tokyo with 20 participants from 16 countries.
2001: Published the second of the two volumes of the Principles of Nomura Lifelong Integrated Education. The English version of the book was published in England next year.
Contributed to World Yearbook of Education 2001 "Values, Culture and Education" upon the request of Prof. Denis Lawton, one of the editors, Institute of Education, University of London.
2002: Nomura Center celebrated its 40th anniversary of foundation.
Organized the 8th International Forum on Lifelong Integrated Education under the theme: Lifelong Integrated Education as a Creator of the Future - Wisdom for the Survival of Humankind-" at the UNESCO Headquarters. It became the last International Forum for and the last keynote address given by Yoshiko Nomura.
2003: Passed away on November 29 at the age of 81.
2004: The Arabic version of "Lifelong Integrated Education as a Creator of the Future - The Principles of Nomura Lifelong Integrated Education 1 & 2" was published under the auspices of UNESCO from Dar Alfikr Aleslami (Egypt).

Addresses delivered in responding to the requests from administrations, enterprises and schools counted more than 200 times. Addresses in overseas countries were more than 40 times.
