A detailed record of the five days of the 11th International Forum on Lifelong Integrated Education 2014, held in Japan for the first time in 16 years since 1998.
|
The 1st International Forum took place in 1977 in Tokyo, and the
2nd in Paris at the UNESCO Headquarters in 1978. Since then the International
Forum has been organized at the UNESCO Headquarters every four years. The
10th commemorative International Forum convened in 2010.
At every Forum participants wished to know how the Principles of
Nomura Lifelong Integrated Education is practiced in everyday life as a
living education. This request was especially strong at the 10th Forum.
It was decided we should organize the 11th to mark a new step forward
in the history of International Forum. First of all, the contents and the
form would be changed with a public forum on the fist day, inviting a thousand
participants from the length and breadth of the country. The following
four days would take the form of intensive seminar on Nomura Lifelong Integrated
Education for mainly overseas participants.
